Case summary: A 46-year old male who was on intramuscular testosterone-Enenthate 250mg/month for 4 years presented to our eye clinic for central serous retinal detachement with repetition of remission and relapse for 3 years. Fundus examination, fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography were perfomed to check the change. Three months after stoping intramuscular testosterone therapy, serous retinal detachment was completely resolved, and it maintained for 1 year.
Conclusions: Testosterone possibly involve in the pathogenesis of CSC, it is important that fundus examinations have to be performed periodically in case of systemic testosterone therapy.
